On Friday April 23, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. the Department of Music Vocal Area will present selections from various operas. The selections will include solos duets quartets, quintets and sextets and will feature voice majors - both graduate and undergraduate students, voice professors as well as community singers. Some of the operas will include The Magic Flute by Mozart, Lakme by Delibes, Romeo & Juliet by Gounod, The Bride of Lammermoor by Donizetti, The Barber of Seville by Rossini and about seven or eight other operas. Linda Mack will be the accompanist for the production. The evening of beautiful music will include music in Italian, German, French, and English. The music will take you in stylistic progression from Baroque to Classical and finishing with the Romantic era, covering 1600-1900.
Tickets are $10.00 for General Admission, $8.00 for Senior Citizens, and Free to students and children.
