The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra is collaborating with soloists Julia Lindsay, Jeannie Pedersen-Smith, Carey Pearson, Cristina Pichardi, Jonathan Wall, Bradley Krueger, and Juan Carlos Rodriguez for an evening of operas. The program includes excerpts from Mozart, Massenet, Verdi, Richard Strauss, and Puccini. Conductor Claudio Gonzales, strives to consider variety and quality in his programming while meeting educational goals in providing experience to students in various orchestral genres. “Operatic repertory is a wonderful and fun way to teach flexibility and musicality to orchestral musicians… I am positive the audience will be delighted by this one,” explains Gonzalez.
