Tickets are $5 for general admission, $3 for students and seniors, and seating is open.
The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Claudio Gonzales, presents the annual Young Artist Concert, this Saturday evening, April 5, at 8:30 pm. Featured this year are 5 competition winners: Jenny Rivera playing the first movement of Max Bruch violin concerto, Jennifer Nelson singing one aria from Magic Flute, and pianist Danny Hong with the first movement of the Emperor Concerto by Beethoven. Following the intermission, Rochelle White will conduct the Procession of the Sardar by Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov
followed by Pace, Pace Mio Dio by Verdi, sung by soloist Carey Pearson. The finale of the program will be the first movement of Third Piano Concerto by Prokofief.
Linda Mack will have a preconcert talk with the student soloists before the concert begins.
