The Andrews University Department of Music presents the operetta "Amahl and the Night Visitors" by Gian-Carlo Menotti (1911-2007) in celebration of Twelfth Night.
"Amahl and the Night Visitors" is the story of a poor, crippled boy and his mother who unexpectedly receive a visit from three kings: Kaspar (slightly deaf), Melchior and Balthazar. During their brief stay in Amahl's home a miracle occurs and Amahl is healed. The healing brings happiness with Amahl walking, running, hopping, leaping and playing. Amahl ends up going with the three kings on the rest of their journey to tell others about his healing.
