Reggie and Ladye Love Smith are two of the world’s most sought-after vocalists. Rachel Barton Pine is an acclaimed American concert violinist whose infectious joy and passion transforms an audiences’ experience of classical music as they listen to her play.  She has performed with the world’s foremost orchestras both locally and internationally and is a leading interpreter of the great classical masterworks. 

Kevin Anthony Fowler is a Jamaican-Canadian contemporary Christian singer and songwriter.  In 2024, K-Anthony celebrated his most recent Juno Award – Canada’s equivalent of a Grammy – for Gospel Contemporary album of the year. Influenced by the island music, you can hear his love of Reggae, R&B and the sounds of his teenage years of bands such as Boys II Men. K-Anthony’s career is buoyed by faith, resilience, and the deep-rooted values of his upbringing. The underlying theme of K-Anthony’s music is his love for God and hope for the future in his return.

Andrews University Singers

The Andrews University Singers is the select choir of the Department of Music and represents Andrews University locally, nationally and abroad through concert tours, television broadcast and audio recordings. They have given highly acclaimed international concert tours throughout the countries of Great Britain, Iceland, Norway, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Chile, South Africa, Bahamas, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.

Embark on a formidable musical odyssey Saturday, November 8 in the Howard Performing Arts Center. The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra--under the direction of Marc Élysée--will present two of the most iconic works of the 20th century with Jean Sibelius’ violin concerto, featuring Mailyn Iribar, previous winner of the Young Artist Competition, and The Planets by Gustav Holst. Join us on this epic voyage through the delicate fabric of human emotions and the colossal forces governing our solar system.

Andrews University Symphony Orchestra

The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra is the core ensemble of the orchestral program at Andrews University. In addition to their current series at the Howard Performing Arts Center, the Symphony Orchestra travels within the Great Lakes region as well as internationally. Since 2006, the orchestra has performed in Italy, Austria, Germany, France, the Philippines and Costa Rica.

Junqi Sophie Tang, Assistant Professor of Music at Western Michigan University and has previously served on the violin faculty of the University of Toledo School of Music, and was invited to serve on a distinguished panel of judges for the 2022 New York Laureate International Music Competition and 2021 Hong Kong International Violin Competition & Chamber Music Competition. She is the founder and artistic director of the Hantong International Summer Music Festival as well as the music director of the Cincinnati Music and Arts Society. She has been a First Prize winner in the 2021 Golden State International Music Competition, 2019 Hong Kong International Music Festival, and an excellence in performance award at the 2016 Schoenfeld International String Competition.

South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestras presents the first concert of its 2025-26 season on Sunday, November 9 at 4pm at the Howard Performing Arts Center at Andrews University. The concert will feature SBYSO’s Concert Orchestra, conducted by Zac Coudret; the second half will feature SBYSO’s Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Robert Boardman. Featured performers will be Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and SBYSO alumnus, Austin Huntington, who will perform the complete Dvorak Cello Concerto, as well as the Andrews University chorus led by Dr. Stephen Zork.
