Violinist Carla Trynchuk and pianist Elena Braslavsky will be performing a recital including works by Beethoven, Grieg, Sibelius, and the Jewish Ukrainian composer Meitus.  Trynchuk, faculty at Andrews University, has performed internationally as soloist and recitalist in more than 15 countries.  Braslavsky, formerly a faculty member at The Juilliard School and the Mannes School of Music, currently serves on the piano faculty of the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.  Trynchuk and Braslavsky were classmates together at The Juilliard School.

ZaRiah is an award-winning emerging wind quintet celebrated for its vibrant artistry, dynamic performances, and meaningful connection with audiences. The ensemble made history as the Grand Prize winner of the 2026 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition—the first wind quintet to earn the honor in nearly 30 years—and also received First Prize at the Frances Walton Chamber Music Competition. Formed at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, ZaRiah’s members have performed internationally and with some of the world’s leading orchestras and ensembles. Dedicated to musical excellence and accessibility, the group is passionate about creating engaging performances while expanding access to chamber music in underserved communities.

David Phelps is internationally recognized for his extraordinary vocal range, dynamic stage presence, and deeply moving performances. Widely regarded as one of today’s most gifted vocalists, he has inspired audiences around the world with his blend of technical brilliance and heartfelt artistry. A multiple Grammy and Dove Award winner, Phelps has achieved tremendous success through chart-topping recordings and sold-out performances. His unforgettable voice and powerful musical storytelling continue to captivate listeners across generations.

Interim Conductor: Brenton Offenback

The Andrews University Singers is the select choir of the Department of Music and represents Andrews University locally, nationally and abroad through concert tours, television broadcast and audio recordings. They have given highly acclaimed international concert tours throughout the countries of Great Britain, Iceland, Norway, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Chile, South Africa, Bahamas, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.

Andrews University Symphony Orchestra

Conductor: Marc Élysée

The Andrews University Symphony Orchestra is the core ensemble of the orchestral program at Andrews University. In addition to their current series at the Howard Performing Arts Center, the Symphony Orchestra travels within the Great Lakes region as well as internationally. Since 2006, the orchestra has performed in Italy, Austria, Germany, France, the Philippines and Costa Rica.
